Currently Inked #22 | 17 November 2016

This episode of Currently Inked in sponsored by Vanness Pens at Vanness Pens is currently featuring the lovely Montegrappa Fortuna Mosaico at their store. This lovely writing instrument comes in vibrant colors (the Turquoise-colored Barcelona, the light blue Marrakesh, and the black and white Roma) in the distinctive Montegrappa Fortuna style.

The microphone I used for this week’s episode of Currently Inked was experiencing some interference, and the audio drops out in a few places during this episode. Sorry!

loved your shirt and choices. matt, why you didn´t even mention noodler´s flex nib? I thought it was the most popular of them. is that bad?

For whatever it’s worth, my understanding is that “ItaliFine” is a trademark of Richard Binder. I’m sure there were companies that deliberately made double-sided round nibs before that, but I think Binder is the one who developed a double-sided nib with a broad italic or stub on the main face and a smooth fine on the reverse. Now that he’s stepping back from nib work a bit, I’m not aware of anyone else who is doing it as a regular offering.

I hear the audio problem, but the camera is fine, it handled all the colours on your shirt etc and I was starting to list the colours starting with your hair but there’s so many it picked up I gave up.
I have a Pilot 912 with an FA nib that struggles and im not sure what to do with this. Also looking forward to the Pilot review that you mentioned.
Thank you for an excellent piece of blogetary its always a pleasure watching the Pen Habit.
